Should I convert to webmail? - 2006/02/16 22:07 I keep hearing that "webmail" is better than using the Outlook Express POP3 account on my computer. Is that true? Should I convert?

Re:Should I convert to webmail? - 2006/02/16 22:11 The biggest benefit to web based email or "webmail" is that you can send and receive from anywhere with an internet connection.

When you use a POP3 account that downloads your email to your computer, that's it. If you are away from that computer or there's a problem, no email.

Also, since most webmail providers tend to back-up their servers regularly, the chances of your email disappearing is much less.
