Browser Software

Different web browsers, other than Internet Explorer.

Most can be downloaded and used along with IE or any other browser.

Why is this software free?
Most of it is actually "Freeware".  What's that?  It's software that companies have decided to release for free and usually have an "open source" license.

What's open-source?
Software whose source code is published and made available to the public, enabling anyone to copy, modify and redistribute the source code without paying royalties or fees. Open source code evolves through community cooperation. These communities are composed of individual programmers as well as very large companies. Some examples of open source initiatives are Linux, Apache, and Mozilla.

Is it safe?
Yes.  We've only posted these great tools here if we've used them first.

Can I give up paying for software now that I know about open-source?
Probably not.  What you tend NOT to get with open-source/freeware are manuals, support, or a "prettied up" interface.  But, if it does the job and you can ask someone for help (remember that Instant Support we brag about?), then these are excellent business tools you do not want to miss.

What if I try one and don't like it?
No skin off our nose.  Uninstall it.  They all give you that option.

What about ads and viruses?
The one's we have listed here are free of both (as far as we've tested).  The only thing you may find is a donation request every once in awhile from the developer.  It's up to you whether or not to donate or not.  If you enjoy the tool, by all means show your support.

Can I make a suggestion?
Of course.  We're always looking for great new tools to share with others.  Just Contact Us and let us know what you'd like.

  Web Link
     Visual Marks URL Organizer
Description: Visual Marks is a visual bookmark manager that allows you to manage your bookmarks with fun and ease via colors and web page snapshots, rather than a list of text links. It adds a new Explorer bar to the IE toolbar, from where you can quickly add a new web site shortcut to the favorites collection. You can choose to add it to the IE favorites as well or to keep a separate list of favorites with Visual Marks. The program can also import your existing IE/Netscape/Opera links and then gather the snapshots for each (may take some time). Additional features include link validation, optional detail list, export as web page function and more. Ok for 98/ME/NT/2000/XP Version: 1.2 Filesize: 548 bytes Added on: 20-Dec-2004
     Mozilla Open-Source Web Browser
Description: Mozilla is an open-source web browser, designed for standards compliance, performance and portability. This all-in-one Web-browser suite has advanced e-mail and newsgroup client, IRC chat client, and HTML editing made simple -- all your Internet needs in one application. Mozilla.org coordinates the development and testing of the browser by providing discussion forums, software engineering tools, releases and bug tracking. Mozilla is fast loading, comes with many features like intergrated email, chat etc. Looks like Netscape, but it s not, at least not really. Can be used without affecting Internet Explorer. Big benefit is that it is more stable and secure than IE. 98/ME/NT/2000/XP Version: 1.7.8 Filesize: 11.49 Kb Added on: 28-Oct-2004
     IESpell
IESpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell-checks text-input boxes on a Web page. It should come in particularly handy for users who do a lot of Web-based text entry (Web mail, forums, blogs, diaries). Even if your Web application already includes spell-checking functionality, this utility is faster than a server-side solution. Plus, you get to store and use your personal word list across all your applications instead of having to maintain separate ones on each application. The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (and as a new menu item under Tools). After filling in a form, click the IESpell button and it pops up a dialog similar to the Microsoft Word spelling checker.
     Mozilla Firefox Lighter Browser Version
Description: Mozilla Firefox is based on Mozilla and created by a sub-team of the Mozilla development team. It is a little lighter and less featured than Mozilla and uses a different interface design. At first sight, it appears rather plain, but offers some handy features such as customizable toolbars, IE Favorites import, integrated web search bar, multi-window (tabbed) browsing, source view with syntax highlighting, password manager and more. Mozilla Firefox also includes a basic download manager that keeps track of your recent downloads and shows which files are currently downloading. This browser is still in early development, and should not be considered bug-free, it can be used along with Mozilla, IE or any other browser.
     Link 200 URL Organizer
Description: Link200 will determine the validity of websites stored in Internet Explorer's favorites folder. Once the program is initiated, websites are automatically checked online and a report is generated on the status. The report details which websites are valid and others that are no longer working. Users can automatically delete these websites using Link200's clean option or you can specify which ones you would like to remove on a per website basis. Features: -Identifes all broken, good, and redirected favorites -Full reporting capabilites; Brand new report for scan results -Enhanced scanning engine for faster, more efficient processing -Wizard style interface for the ultimate in ease of use Ok for 98 / ME / 2000 / XP/Vista
